Llanrwst councillor launches #ShopLocal campaign

The Llanrwst councillor is encouraging people to stay local to do their shopping.

As lockdown rules in Wales continue to ease, shops are beginning to re-open their doors to safely welcome customers back.

Plaid Cymru Councillor for Llanrwst, Aaron Wynne, has launched a #ShopLocal campaign to encourage people to back their local high-streets and to shop local.

Cllr Wynne said;

"Our local home-grown businesses are beginning to re-open their shops to customers again.

"Local businesses are deeply rooted in our communities, employing hundreds of local people between them. To ensure these businesses can continue to trade post-pandemic, we must support them now more than ever.

"Businesses have adapted their stores so you can shop safely. This means one-way systems, hand sanitiser stations and a limit of shoppers in store at a time.

"If you can, stay local to do your shopping. From your weekly shop to your haircut and everything in between - backing our local traders means supporting our local community and economy."
